Lawyers committed for cause of supremacy of Constitution: CJP


Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary has said that lawyers have proved committment for the cause of supremacy of the constitution, rule of law and independence of judiciary.On the occasion of Oath taking ceremony of Rawalpindi Division Bar held here Wednesday in the Supreme Court, he said that they have brought good name to the country. The Chief Justice congratulated the newly elected members of Rawalpindi Division Bar and said that the legal fraternity believes in democracy and supremacy of the Constitution and Rule of Law and they should stick to their principles to realize the society that they are the upholder of Rule of Law and believe in impartial judiciary.

He said the contribution of Bar for judiciary is vital in terms of providing help to litigants for the cause of the justice.
He further, praising the role of legal fraternity, said that they have potential to bring change in society. History proved that during March, 2009 and November 2007 the lawyers left no stone unturned to get the mission completed and achieve their cherished goals.
