Governor House didn’t receive any summary: Latif Khosa

Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa said that he had not received any summary from the Punjab Chief Minister regarding removal of PPP ministers from the provincial cabinet.

“Sunday, being a holiday, I would attend to the official business tomorrow”, he said while talking to the media men after the inauguration of sui gas supply to Khudian, here Sunday.

Regarding summary to Governor rather than dissolution of cabinet by the Chief Minister, Khosa said that he would proceed as per the law and the constitution, adding that he was not a novice Governor of the province.

Earlier, addressing the public gathering, he said that PPP wanted an end to the culture of lotacracy from the country, asserting that sacking governments was no its mission.

Paying glowing tributes to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Punjab Governor said that PPP is a pro-democracy political party whose founder made Pakistan an atomic power, adding that Bhutto family had rendered great sacrifices for democracy as well as the country with its blood.

He said that PPP promoted politics of reconciliation setting the past and it would work for the welfare of the masses and progress of the country by utilising all resources.

He said that Punjab would remain a PPP fortress as it was in the past, adding that people were the fountainhead of power.

Khosa said that PPP would purge the 1973 constitution of the influence of dictators like Zia-ul-Haq and Pervaiz Musharraf.

He said that PPP would sweep elections with a heavy mandate if angels did not cast votes during the elections

He said that PPP wanted to change the system – a system where there was no exploitation, every deprived got his right and where an atmosphere of reconciliation prevailed.

Former Federal Minister Asif Ahmed Ali, Member Central Executive Commitee Ch Manzoor Ahmed and MPA Sardar Muhammad Hussain Dogar also addressed the gathering.
