Court extends remand of Raymond Davis

The court on Thursday extended the physical remand of US national Raymond Davis who was charged with the murder of the two Pakistani citizens.

The accused was awarded bail in illegal arms case.

Raymond Davis was produced before the judicial magistrate Zafar Iqbal Siyal.

Citing the reason that more information was to be extracted from accused regarding those who assisted him in the crime and involved in the killing of third youth Ebadur Rehman, the police requested the court to extend the physical remand to eight more days.

The court, later, extended the physical remand to eight more days.

On this occasion, intensive security measures were put in place at Cantt Kachehri building and heavy contingent of police were deployed.

Mediamen were also not allowed in the courtroom during the hearing.
