14 injured in Hub hand grenade attack

At least 14 people were injured in a hand grenade attack on a mosque in Hub town on Sunday night.

According to police sources, unknown men hurled a hand grenade on a Wuzo Khana of a local mosque in the town which exploded, injuring 14 people including faithful and some passersby.

The injured were identified as Muhammad Hasan, Saeed Ahmed, Dilip Kumar, Sadur Rehman, police constable Muhammad Umar, Qadir Bakhsh, Imran, Shabomal, Pawan, Bahadar Ali, Shair Ali, Noor Muhammad, Asad and Shairal.

The wounded were included two children. The injured have been shifted to hospital where Saadur Rehman, Asad and Muhammad Hassan were reported in serious condition.

Those who are in critical condition were evacuated to Karachi.

Law enforcement agencies and police personnel immediately reached the place and cordoned it off.

They have commenced a search operation to trace and arrest the suspects. A case has been registered against unidentified suspects and investigation into the incident was underway.
