Terrorism to be eliminated as per BB’s vision: Punjab Governor


Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa said on Monday that PPP-led government would keep moving forward with the mission of their martyred leader Benazir Bhutto to eliminate terrorism and transform Pakistan into a peaceful country.

Addressing a ceremony for inauguration of sub campuses of Bahauddin Zakariya University and Allama Iqbal Open University here, the Governor said that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani were taking the mission of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto forward.

Khosa said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had the vision of promoting education to eliminate poverty and illiteracy and she believed that terrorism could be wiped out by virtue of development in education sector.

Promotion of education was the part of PPP’s manifesto, Sardar Latif Khosa said and added that he visited his hometown DG Khan soon after taking over as Governor to improve education facilities in under-developed and backward areas.
