Talks with MQM continued to bring it back: Kaira

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Sunday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will return as coalition partner of the government. He said, the reservations of MQM will be removed and hoped that the party will continue with the government as a coalition partner.At this stage, MQM has taken its position but it does not mean that dialogue process with the party is over, he said hoping MQM will rejoin the government.To a question he said that every legislation is made in the interest of the people and all parties including opposition take part in the process.

He said, despite the opposition parties’ presence in the parliament, 95 percent of legislation was unanimous.
To a question about no- confidence motion from the opposition, he said,“We have been saying that if any party proves its majority in the parliament, it can form the government and we will welcome them. But, it is too premature to say anything,” he added.
To a question he said petroleum prices are increasing not only in Pakistan, rather it is a worldwide phenomenon, adding, the government does not fix the petroleum prices as these are adjusted under a set formula by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (ORGA), which is an autonomous body.
