The Administrative Judge of Sindh High Court (SHC), Justice Sajjad Hussain Shah, remanded the accused in Shershah carnage case to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) here on Wednesday.
The nine accused, who surrendered to police authorities on Tuesday were remanded to SIU custody for seven days till January 19.
The accused were presented before the court amid tight security by the police.
The accused include Mohammed Tufail son of M. Pervaiz, Abid Ali, son of Abdul Wahid, Asghar Ali, son of Karim Buksh, Tehsin, son of M. Akbar, Abdul Rasheed, son of Pir Buksh, Johar, son of Sher Mohammed, M. Ejaz, son of Karim Buksh, M. Iqbal,son of Karim Buksh and M. Akbar, son of Salman.
At least 14 shopkeepers of Shershah scrap market were shot dead by unidentified gunmen on October 19, 2010 and a FIR was registered by Pak Colony Police. Four accused are already in custody of the police.
