The Judicial Magistrate-1 Monday sent provincial president Jamhoori Watan Party Shahzain Bugti and his 26 associates including security guards to jail while bail application for them has been filed with the Session Court Quetta.
Leader of the JWP and the grandson of veteran Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti along with his associates was produced before the court in a case for allegedly keeping illegal weapons and ammunition.
After the hearing of the case against Mr. Bugti and his companions, the learned court sent them to jail.
Meanwhile, talking to mediamen, Wishisher Nath Kohli, the lawyer of Mr. Bugti said bail application for his clients had been filed with the Session Court adding the hearing of the application would be held on January 06.
Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court had transferred the under trial case to the civil court. The court had observed that the case against Mr. Bugti and his colleagues did not come under jurisdiction of the 7AT Act and the ATC.
Separately, speaking to media, the JWP provincial president reposed his trust in the judiciary adding he would accept the court verdict dealing with the case.
He, however, reiterated that announcement to launch ‘long march’ to Dera Bugti would not be withdrawn adding it would be implemented in every way. He added that his brother would lead the long march.
