PMLN, PMLQ discuss political situation

Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) and Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PMLQ) meet today (Tuesday) to discuss the current situation as the political crisis continues after the key government allies pulled out of the coalition.

Earlier, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani was assured of not supporting any no-confidence motion against him by both factions of PML in the separate meetings with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and PMLQ leadership.

In view of the current crisis, the PMLN Central Executive Committee and Parliamentary Committee of PMLQ are meeting on Tuesday to formalize future party strategy.

Experts say the outcome of said meetings would be important in determining future of the government and democracy.
