Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani was greeted with flower upon his arrival at Nine-Zero, the headquarters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Friday as the premier attempts to woo the MQM back into the coalition.
The primer minister was accompanied by Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minster Rehman Malik.
Earlier, in a meeting with Sindh Governor and Chief Minister late Thursday, Gilani said that the challenges being faced by the country demand resolutions through collective wisdom which is the basic objective behind the government’s reconciliation policy.
The prime minister said the unity demonstrated by all the political parties in the National Assembly today was manifestation of the political leadership concerned for the welfare and betterment of the people and the country.
The same spirit, he added, needs to be followed by all provinces of the country.
