PM not pressurising for hand over of Raymond Davis to US

The Prime Minister was not exerting any pressure to hand over Raymond Davis to the Untied States of America, a spokesperson of the Prime Minister Monday categorically stated.

“It is absolutely untrue that Prime Minister has exerted any influence for the release of Raymond Davis,” the spokesperson said.

The Spokesperson of Prime Minister Secretariat termed the news item – “Government agrees to give immunity to Lahore killer” – published in a section of the press “as incorrect and fabricated.”

The Spokesperson said, “the Federal Government is not putting any pressure to hand over Raymond Davis to America.”

He however clarified that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs Interior were the focal ministries to deal with this case.
