Pir Karam Ali Shah appointed GB Governor

The Federal government has appointed Pir Karam Ali Shah Governor Gilgit-Baltistan after four months of the demise of former governor Dr. Shamma Khalid, who died of cancer.

A formal notification had been issued in this regard and necessary protocol had been furnished to the governor, said an administration official of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

Pir Syed Karam Ali Shah has been member of assembly for four times and comes from a religious family.

He will resign from his seat in GBLA and by-elections would be held in his constituency.
