Pervaiz urges Nawaz to give ultimatum to Shahbaz’s govt

The PML (Q) Central leader Ch. Pervaiz Elahi has said that Nawaz Sharif should give ultimatum and 12 points agenda to his younger brother Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab rather than serving 11 points agenda on PPP government.

“Shahbaz Sharif promoted ‘turncoat’ culture as well as politics of victimization, violated mandate of other parties in the province in his lust for power,” he said while addressing a press conference at his Gulberg residence here Sunday.”

He urged the PML (N) leadership to respect mandate of other parties as per clause 21 of the Charter of Democracy (CoD) adding PML(Q) would approach the court in case of defections by the members of provincial assembly.

“The opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly would be from the PPP, if it decided to leave Punjab government”, he said.

He said that Punjab government siphoned seven billion rupees of the IT department adding that it was regrettable the IT department was abolished by the claimants of setting up IT university.

Referring to the bad governance in Punjab, Elahi said that Punjab IT sector was faced with Rs 37 billion deficit due to Shahbaz Sharif’s inefficiency while the IT scholarships for the poor children have been withdrawn and thousands of people have been rendered jobless. He said that PML (Q) government was pursuing IT programmes of long-term vision.
