Pakistan leveled the ODI series with a big win against New Zealand. Green Shirts beat Kiwis by 43 runs in the third one-day international in Christchurch on Saturday.
New Zealand won the toss and chose to field. Pakistan had made 293 runs. Mohammad Hafeez scored 115 runs. While Afridi and Akmal fired with some devastating late hitting as the tourists ended their 50 overs on 293 for seven. Mohammad Hafeez scored his first one-day international century.
New Zealand made 250 runs for 9 in 50 overs. Umar Gul, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Tanveer took 2 wickets each while Mohammed Hafeez and Shahid Afridi sent one player each back to the pavilion.
New Zealand won the first match by nine wickets and the second was abandoned because of rain.
