Nawaz expresses concern over law, order situation in Karachi


PML (N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has expressed his deep concern over the law and order situation in Karachi and termed it a conspiracy against the people of the country.

He was addressing on the occasion of the 24th death anniversary of Shaheed Fazil Rahoo at Rahooki, Badin on Monday.

“No one will be allowed to disrupt peace in the country and particularly, Karachi,” he said and called upon the government to take cognizance of the alleged deteriorating law and order situation.

Sharif claimed that his party will expose the forces behind the assassination of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

“It is time that we should refrain from personal political gains and give priority to improve the socio-political situation in the country beyond party lines,” he observed.

Mian Nawaz Sharif said that some unscrupulous elements were bent on creating hatred and divide the people of the country in the name of religion and ethnicity.

He also dwelt at length on law and order situation in interior of Sindh province, alleging that dacoits have played havoc with the life and property of the people and cases of kidnappings were also on the rise allegedly.

The PML(N) chief said that his party will provide land to landless farmers of the province without any discrimination when they would come to power.

“Help to the poor people will bring socio-economic prosperity in the country,” he added.
