Nawaz dissatisfied with implementation of 10-point agenda

PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday called on the government to accelerate efforts to implement the 10-point national agenda put forth by his party.

“Members of the consultative committee from the Pakistan Muslim Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are not satisfied with the implementation process being adopted by the government”, Nawaz said while addressing the launching ceremony of “Mera Quaid”, a book on his life and political achievements written by an overseas party worker here.

The PML-N chief said that the implementation of the agenda should be the top most priority of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani as the government would only benefit from its implementation.

Nawaz acknowledged Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani’s contribution by outrightly rejecting the idea of a political murder and rescuing PML-N leadership when some elements were bent upon implicating Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif in the murder of Salman Taseer by declaring his killing a political murder.

He criticized Musharraf’s dictatorial regime for overthrowing a democratically elected government as well as plunging the country into the abyss of corruption, financial crisis, extremism and terrorism.
