Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) Chief Nawaz Sharif started consultation with party leadership as political crisis continue to worsen after Muttahida Qaumi Movement parted ways with the government.
Nawaz Sharif discussed the present situation in Lahore whilst the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani called on Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in a bid to head off a possible vote of no confidence in the National Assembly.
On this occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said his party would not derail the democratic process. He assured PM of not supporting any move to destabilize the government.
“We will not be a part of any adventurism”, stated CM Punjab.
Shahbaz also assured Gilani that his party would not initiate a no-confidence motion against the latter.
