IHC starts working

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) began working on Tuesday as Chief Justice (CJ) Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman unveiled the flag to mark the opening the court after the closure of about 16 months.

The CJ was greeted with the guard of honour by the armed forces when he arrived here on Tuesday morning.

Later, the two judges of the IHC -— Justice Riaz Ahmed and Justice Mohammad Anwar — also took oath on the occasion and it was administered by CJ Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman.

A large number of lawyers and other notables were present at the oath-taking ceremony.
