The Chief of PML-Q Ch. Shujaat Hussain has optimistically said that the present government will complete its tenure.
Addressing a the ‘Meet the Press Programme’ at the Karachi Press Club here on Friday, Ch. Shujaat Hussain said that it was right time for the democracy to prop up and prosper on the right track.
“We do not want the political forces to derail the democratic system,” he added.
The PML (Q) chief further said that the government was facing problems of law and order, energy crisis and price hike and urged the government to look into these issues pertaining to the masses.
Moreover, he said that deweaponisation of the metropolis was not an easy task because the people need protection with licensed arms.
“Deweaponisation is a difficult task because people need their self-protection,” he pointed out.
Ch. Shujaat said that he was launching one of his books on law and order problems in the country as far as his experience is concerned as the former caretaker prime minister and interior minister.
The PML-Q Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed also spoke on the occasion.
