Death toll from Iraq suicide bombing rises to 42

The death toll from a suicide bomb attack on Iraqi police recruits in former dictator Saddam Hussein’s hometown rose to 42 on Tuesday, with more than 100 people wounded, a provincial official said.

“Who else would it be but al Qaeda, who keep on slaughtering us,” said Ahmed Abdul-Jabbar, deputy governor of Salahuddin province. “They are the terrorists.”
