Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Tuesday said that Bench and Bar were integral part of the same system and underlined the need of unity amongst the legal fraternity.
He was talking to 10-member delegation of Jhelum Bar Association headed by its President Tariq Mehmood Janjua called on him here at Supreme Court building, says a press release.
Praising the efforts of Jhelum Bar during the days of the movement, Chief Justice said that the Bar played effective and valuable role for rule of Law, supremacy of Constitution and independence of judiciary in the Country.
The members of delegation admired the struggle of the Chief Justice of Pakistan for the cause of supremacy of the constitution and the rule of Law in the country and assured full support and cooperation to standby the judiciary.
They further, praised the National Judicial Policy which provided inexpensive and expeditious justice at the door of the litigants.
Further they informed the Chief Justice about the progress made so
far in the construction of the Judicial Complex in Jhelum at a place where present building is erected.
The delegation invited the Chief Justice to visit Jhelum Bar.
