Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan Saturday said the government would take further steps in coming days to strengthen the constitutional and legal system in the country.Talking to media outside Supreme Court after attending Judicial Commission meeting, held here he said,“We want to ensure that transparency may not only be witnessed in the appointment of judges but also in other matters like the decisions of executive authorities.”
He said the restructuring committee constituted by the cabinet in this regard has completed a lot of work for restructuring of nearly 12 organizations.
The government wants to eliminate wrong practices which became the part of country’s system during the dictatorial era, adding that the solid steps are being taken in this regard.
The Minister said the government has set a new precedent in the history of Pakistan by taking all the political parties onboard and listening to their view points on all national issues.
The government is successfully moving ahead and proposals of political parties with regard to governance and exercise of executive authority of federation are being given attention, he added.
