A suicide bombing on Tuesday destroyed the vehicle of a deputy Afghan governor, killing the official and 5 other people in the south of the country, police said.
Mohammad Kazim Allahyar, deputy governor for the troubled province of Ghazni, was on his way to his office when the attack took place.
“The deputy governor has been martyred. His son and his nephew have also been martyred. In total, 6 people have been martyred,” provincial police chief, Delawar Zahid said, describing the bombing as a “suicide attack”.
