A sum of over Rs 4.5 million has been distributed among 900 families at the rate of Rs 5,000 to each family during the Eid days in the flood affected areas of Muzaffargarh, said Hanif Abbasi coordinator for flood relief activities said on Tuesday.
Talking to journalists here after sending two relief trucks worth over Rs 600,000 to Khyber Pakhtunkhaw he said with the active cooperation of business community relief items worth over Rs 10 million have already been sent to flood affected people.
The chemist association has handed over items including mineral water and 160,000 bags of milk to flood victims. Vice president Chemist Association Bohar bazaar Abdul Jabber and General Secretary Zaheer Musa were also present on the occasion. Hanif Abbasi coordinator for flood affected activities felicitated business community for active cooperation and vowed sending more relief items to flood victims.
