Pakistan Steel Re-Rolling Mills Association (PSRMA) has urged the government to take all the vital steps to build economy of the country and overcome all the crises, including energy crunch.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Dewan Abu Obaida Farooqui chairman (PSRMA), Mian Manzoor Ahmad, Vice Chairman (Lahore Circle) and Sheikh Khurram Ishtiaq, Vice Chairman (Karachi Circle) demanded of the government to ensure availability of standard raw material on affordable prices.
They maintained that steel industry should be exempted from load-shedding and cut on Sui gas supply.
“Government should withdraw the increase in electricity tariff. Prices of electricity, gas should be minimized to all possible extent for the survival of industry” they appealed.
They demanded solid measures to weed out power theft.
