PCB will decide future: Yawar Saeed

Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed placed his future in the hands of PCB chairman Ijaz Butt on Tuesday and said he had no plans to resign after a tour of England blighted by corruption allegations.

“I am not resigned, I’m not resigning and I will not resign tomorrow,” he told Sky Sports News television ahead of Wednesday’s deciding one-day international against England at Southampton.

“I am a very unimportant person; I don’t know why people are so interested. “I am not an employed manager. I am not employed by the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board). So if you are not employed, what do you resign from? Thin air? I don’t have to resign,” he added.

“The procedure is, after every tour the chairman then will decide who is the manager for the next tour. So it’s his domain.”

“I am not responsible for the chairman’s comments,” said the manager, adding that he was focused on his players’ preparations.

“Because it’s a decider, because of what is going on, they are determined to win. And we shall play good cricket and try to win this game,” declared Saeed.
