Pak-China friendship time tested: Taseer

Punjab Governor Salman Taseer on Friday said that the friendship between Pakistan and China was proverbial which has stood the time-tested.

He said this during a meeting with Ambassador of China Liu Jian at Punjab House Islamabad, says a handout.

“Our government rehabilitated Swat IDPs in a short span of time and on the same pattern we will re-settle flood -affected people,” he added.

He said that the PPP government, leaders and workers was working to facilitate affected people.

Pakistan was passing through a crucial time as we are facing world’s worst flood and war on terror, he said and added that terrorist activities damaged our economy.

The governor welcomed the aid given by the China for flood victims and said that China was the only country which always stands by Pakistan in every difficult time.

Chinese Ambassador Liu Jian said China want to see Pakistan a peaceful state and our relationship with Pakistan was everlasting.

“We are giving aid for flood victims and will continue providing relief,” he added.

He appreciated the courage of Pakistanis  and said Paksitani masses don’t feel themselves alone in this tough time because along with Chinese Government, its people also share their grief. Chinese Ambassador invited Punjab Governor to visit China.
