Kashmiris struggling for self-determination: Shabbir Shah

The illegally detained senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference and Chairman of Peoples Democratic Front (PDF), Shabbir Ahmed Shah has said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are struggling for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah expressed these views while talking to All Party delegation of India, led by Member of Parliament (MP) TR Baalu, which met him at Chopra Nursing Home near Government Medical College Hospital where he was admitted due to deteriorating health, Kashmir Media Service reported.

He told the delegation that India should withdraw troops from the Indian occupied territory, repeal all draconian laws including Armed Forces Special Powers Act and release all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists so that conducive atmosphere could be created for amicable solution of the Kashmir dispute.

After deliberation with Shabbir Ahmad Shah, the delegation wished him speedy recovery.
