Government of Pakistan succeeded in buying time from Supreme Court. The Supreme Court of Pakistan approved Government’s request to postpone the hearing of case regarding implementation of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) till 13 October.
Earlier, the government decided not to submit the summary regarding re-opening of swiss cases in the Supreme Court (SC).
Instead of complying with the SC’s order, the govt. submitted a plea in the apex court seeking postponement of hearing in this matter.
This move came after PM Gilani and attorney General Moulvi Anwar-ul-Haq discussed swiss cases re-opening issue on telephone.
Attorney General said that Prime Minister has some unavoidable engagements. He said that PM Gilani has to review certain legalities before taking any further steps.
