2 injured as gunmen fire on tourist bus in Delhi

Gunmen opened fire on a tourist bus near the main mosque in New Delhi on Sunday, injuring 2 people thought to be of east Asian origin, police and medics said.

“2 persons were injured in the firing,” Assistant Police Commissioner of New Delhi Jagbir Singh said.

“Both are males,” Vijay Kumar, a doctor from the nearby state-run Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Hospital, said, adding that they were of east Asian, possibly Taiwanese, origin.

“One has been shot in the stomach and is serious, but his pulse and blood pressure appear to be normal,” Kumar said.
