Zulqarnain, out of remaining England tour

Pakistan wicketkeeper/ batsman Zulqarnain Haider will not play the remaining matches of Pakistan tour of England after doctors advised him three weeks rest to recover from his injury.

Zulqarnain sustained a hairline fracture on his finger while playing in the second Test in Birmingham where he scored a fighting 88 in the second innings while making his debut after dismissed for first ball duck in the first innings.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) the tour management has not requested a replacement.

Team vice captain and wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal, who was dropped from the second Test due to lack of batting form and poor keeping is almost certain to play in third Test played at Oval, London from Wednesday despite minor eye injury.
