Bilour urges nation to unite against terrorismNWFP Senior Minister Bilour Bashir has strongly condemned the suicide attack that killed ten and injured several others outside the Session’s Court gate here on Monday.
Bilour said two lawyers and three police officials while scores of security officials received injuries.
Eye witnesses said the bomber disembarked from an auto rickshaw and exploded himself up in front of the session court when intercepted by three police officials.
Bilour eulogized the bravery of Police officials who stopped the suicide bomber from entering the session court premises. He said the province is faced with full scale insurgency and expressed the determination to root it out with the help and support of masses.
He paid glowing tributes to the Police officials who are sacrificing their lives for the safety and security of their countrymen.
The gallant Police officials have averted much higher causality by preventing the bomber to enter the court premises otherwise the death toll would have been much higher. He denounced any lapse in security.
“It was the security arrangements that pre-empted a big catastrophe in the provincial capital,” Bilour remarked.
He ruled out possibility of involvement of foreign hand in the current wave of terrorism in the province and said that our own anti-state elements are instigating the fuel of terrorism. However, he reiterated that we are not going to hold talks with butchers who are killing innocent people.
He also elaborated upon security arrangements for Muharram and said provincial capital has been divided into four sectors headed by senior Police official.
Emergency has been declared in Lady Reading Hospital where according to official sources the condition of four is precarious.
