Chelsea coach Avram Grant told a press conference here Monday that his team was at full strength and would not take Olympiakos lightly in their Champions League first knockout round, first leg match on Tuesday.
“This is the first time I have all my players available without problems,” Grant said. “The injured have returned and those who played in the African Cup are with us now. It is a pleasurable headache for a coach to pick his starters.”
He was referring to the return of John Terry and Frank Lampard as well as the players who participated in the African Cup.
“The situation is good now. The players that return from injury or Africa are in good shape and will be better with time,” Grant added.
The only star player missing now is Andriy Shevchenko who was left behind in England to recuperate from his injury.
“We are not thinking of not being scoreless as this way we can’t win, but together with a tight defense, we want to have offensive opportunities created. Olympiakos will not come out playing offensive. The team will play a match of patience,” Lemonis said.
