BSEK announces SSC part-I annual exam schedule

The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Monday announced the programme of the SSC Part I (Class IX) Annual Examination 2007 commencing from May 15.
According to the Controller of Examinations BSEK, Salim Khan, the schedule was finalised at the meeting of the Committee of Chairmen of the Sindh Boards held here on Monday.
The Chairman of the BSEK, Brig. Shafiullah Qureshi, presided over the meeting.
Salim Khan said that in view of the limited time available and a large number of candidates, it was not possible for the BSEK to organise the 9th class examinations along with those of the 10th class which are scheduled to begin from April 17.
He pointed out that the number of candidates for class 9th examination at BSEK would be up to 175,000 and this number is almost equal to the combined strength of the remaining boards in the province.
Meanwhile, a notification of the BSEK said that the examination forms of SSC Part I Annual Examination 2007 for Science and General groups (Regular and Private Candidates) will be available from March 5.
These can be submitted up to March 31 without any late fee, it was further stated.
The examinations will commence from May 15 with English Compulsory Paper I to be conducted from nine a.m. up to 12 noon.
The papers will continue till May 26 with the paper of Computer Studies (Theory).
